Hollingsworth, NYO subject VCM Exposure Levels Suspension PVC Unit CONFIDENTIAL Dear Bob: As the attched plot Indicates, the VCM background level in the reaction area has risen significantly since bringing the Suspension unit back to three line operation. Even with Non-Solvent down and smooth operation in October^, to date;the average level in the area covered by the Building 174 monitor is 2.6 PPM. If we have an OSHA inspection designed to check personnel exposure we could be in trouble and I propose that we prepare an action plan to bring this level down below 1.5 PPM. John Hollingsworth will be in the plant several days the week of November 8 and I would propose that we plan to lay out for him a plan that we believe will bring the Suspension/Non-Solvent area into "compliance."
