As you continue to upgrade and replace components, aim toward more uniformity in materials of construction. Use of pipe specs might be beneficial for the pilot plant. 2. In your procedures for neutralizer operation, write a note that the person should look for overflow of the caustic volumetric after a certain length of fill time. 3. Check material of construction of the steam coil in the caustic tank. Probably should be nickel. 4. Positively identify incoming caustic unless the truck is dedicated to caustic service. 5. Make certain that your procedures do not allow you to get 235 pound steam on the chlorine vaporizer shell, getting temperature high enough to initiate a chlorine-iron fire.
