Kehoe ; Kettering Laboratory of Applied Physiology Eden Avenue University of Cincinnati College of Medicine* Cincinnati, Ohio Dear Doctor Kehoe: I am sending under separate cover a sample of blood and a sample of a 24 hour collection of urine for lead analyses obtained in accordance w i th your directions from one of our ward patients, This m a n 's chief complaint is weakness and the union to which he belongs is anxious that he be studied for possible lead poisoning. After the routine clinical studies are completed I plan to give this patient thirty grains of ammonium chloride a day; to follow h i m weekly through the out-patient cjjBpartment; and to have him enter the ward in another month foj^fcollection of blood and a 24 hour urine sample for lead analysis. I would deeply appreciate if you: would undertake these analyses for us. The containers which you sent us are now exhausted. We do have one of your needles in our possession but we will need other containers. As I have indicated, a speciman of blood and urine from this patient will be sent to you in another month. I have requested the interne to abstract this patient's history which I shall enclose.
