ELIMINATION OF - ASBESTOS -GLOVES Wear tests hy Works Engineering and Manufacturing personnel using Kevlar<!> gloves have demonstrated they are a satisfactory substitute for asbestos gloves. Therefore, effective immediately, no additional asbestos gloves should be purchased.. By March 31, 1980, all asbestos gloves must be phased out. Any asbestos gloves remaining as of that date should be discarded, using already established procedures for disposing of asbestos. Stores should replace asbestos gloves with the Kevlar<S glove speci fied on the attached letter from J. E. Fields, Martinsville.
