Dear Dr. Kin:
The following is in response to your question regarding the presence
of Dioxin or Dioxin precursors in Vista LP Solvent. This product
has not been analyzed specifically for dioxin or potential
precursors. However, there is no reason to believe they would be
present based on the feedstocks used and the production process in
general.
There is little possibility for the chemicals to be
present in the feedstocks or formed in the process.

1. Attended CMA RCRA Waste Classification Work Group meeting to discuss proposed changes to RCRA being considered by Senator Luken. RCRA is not likely to be seriously reconsidered until Congress has finished with the Clean Air Act later this year.
2. Drafted a letter to Senators from states in which Vista has operations making our opinion known regarding the unreasonable enforcement provisions being considered for the Clean Air Act, Senate Bill 1630.
3. Sent letters to the Vinyl Institute Board members soliciting their comments on a proposal by the VI Health, Safety, and Environment Committee Solid Waste Subcommittee for VI member companies to develop a joint waste minimization/recycle program.
4. Sent out three notifications to customers concerning Canadian DSL list.
5. Advised Blane on SARA 311/312 submittals.
6. Participated in groundwater cost manufacturing and legal.
