Tanaka-san,
Please allow me to clarify a couple of items:
1) First of all, the C E G is not calculated for a plant site. The C E G is a guidance level established by Haskell Labs.
2) There are really two C E G levels; one for water and one for air. 3) W e looked at the water concentrations in comparison to the water C E G when Hartten-san visited. . 4) For the air, we would only do air modeling to compare air modeling concentrations to the air C E G . The concentrations are too low to detect by measurement. 5) The air modeling would be done by Cathy Barton in Wilmington and would not cost near as much as you are thinking. 6) Cathy can best tell us what data we need, but the meteorological data and geographic data are definitely something that can be used. W e also use emission rates, stack highs and velocities, plus building heights, locations, etc. W e don't need population density.
Hope this helps with our concerns.
Best Regards, Dave Seiichi Tanaka

Greetings, Rurak-san
A s it is listed on the attached minutes of the wrap up meeting with Ta-W ei Fu-san during his
last visit to Shimizu in January, I would like to know your thought whether we should calculate C E G at Shimizu site.
Last year Q R A was performed for Shimizu site using geografic data, population density
meteorological
'
data and the other data for calculating PHI by engineering department.
It took much cost as 20MM \ for developing the dispersion model for the site. I think basically C E G would be calculated by using the sim ilar dispersion model.
If we should calculate C E G , could we use the same dispersion model as Q R A ? How much cost do

we need for calculation ? 0301-Minutes o f Meeting with Ta Best Regards, Tanaka
