Braintree, MA 02104 Dear Dr. Egilman: Enclosed are copies of the Abex Medical Department Report of Activities for the years 1941 through 1985. I noticed that there was no mention of "asbestosis'' an an occupational disease of Abex employees until the 1982 report, which mentioned one case from each of 1973 and 1974 and two from 1982. Neither of the '73 or '74 reports mentioned a finding of "asbestosis." After the. '82 report (pages 14 and 15) made reference to four cases of asbestosis, no subsequent report contained the section on cases of pulmonary occupational disease nor any mention of lung cancer.
