Thermlnol 77 Preliminary Technical Data Sheet Therminol 77 is a clear, amber fluid with exceptionally high thermal and oxidative stability. It was especially designed for use as a liquid-phase heat transfer fluid at temperatures above 600F. Follow ing are some fluid properties: Temp. __ 100 210 300 400 500 600 700 800 Vapor Pressure (mm Hg) -- -- 0.27 1.03 9.2 44 168 530 Viscosity (cs) Lbs/Ft-Hr 181 7.78 -- 1.50 0.96 0.66 0.46* -- 505 20.8 -- 3.74 2.28 1.49 0.99 -- Density (GMS/cc) (Lbs/Gal) 1.152 1.106 -- 1.029 0.981 0.931 0.885 ... 9.60 9.22 -- 8.58 8.16 7.76 7.38 -- Temp. :'F . 100 200 300 400 500 600 700 800 Specific Heat (BTU/Lb) 0.350 0.385 0.420 0.455 0.495 0.530 0.565 0.600 * Extrapolation Thermal Conductivity (Cal/cm. Irritation potential studies indicate that it should not be irritating to the skin and only slightly irritating to the eyes if there is accidental contact. Animals survived a single four-hour exposure to an atmosphere saturated with vapors at room temperature. It appears that no particular safety precautions are necessary during the handling of this fluid at room temperature. * Thermal decomposition was determined by the isoteniscope method as described in the "Journal of Chemical and Engineering Data," January 1961, Volume 6, No. 1. It Is defined as the temperature at which dp/dt s 0.014 mm. Hg per second or 500 mm. Hg per 10 hours. 0095369 | TOWOLDMON0043768 WATER_PCB-00028237
