The sampling was conducted according to Battelle SOP M3-MC-F-L.1. The use of this system allows the separate collectionofparticulate and vapor phase compounds usinga glass fiber filter nN for particulate matter and a polyurethane foam PUE for the vapor phase. Sediment samples were collected using a stainless steel spoon in Mobile, see Section 6for an explanation of the collection procedure in Pensacola. Sludge in Mobile was collected using a valve system, in Pensacola it was collected using a stainless steel K spoon supplied by the POTW. nu 3. Sample matrix collection nu times have been transcribed from the sample log; all other times have been estimated based on the events that transpired duringthesurvey.
