I've just been talking with Dr. Jacobs about the report on the examination of air for lead. Incidentally, our reviewers have been quite enthusiastic about this present form of the report. Dr. Cholak and you certainly deserve a warm, word of congratulations. Dr. Jacobs has reminded me of the fact that the report is essentially the handwork of Dr. Cholak and you. Under the circmstances it seems only fair that some special recognition should be paid to you two for the special work you did. Since the report is being published as a committee report, it would be inapproprite to present it as a report written by Dr. Cholak and you. In the past where we have been confronted with a somewhat similar situation we have solved it by carrying a Preface which in your case would be worded something like the following: The following report was prepared by J. Cholak, Ph.D. and Robert A. Kehoe, M.D. for the Subcommittee on Determination of Lead in Air of the Industrial Hygiene Section. It is published as a report of the Coordinating Committee, on Laboratory Methods with the approval of the Committee on Research and Standards. On one of the early pages of the report we would list the members of the Industrial Hygiene Section committee and probably that of the Coordinating Committee on Laboratory Methods. / Howdoes this proposal sound to you?
