Dear Christian:
In the wake of recent natural disasters like Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, everyday Americans assumed the role of first responders as their family and friends faced sheets of rain, catastrophic flooding and destructive winds. The energy industry was at the forefront of this response.
Countless members of the energy industry worked alongside first responders and law enforcement officials to evacuate those in danger and begin the process of restoring critical energy sources.
T" EheneGrgloybaSltrEonnegrg."y Institute is proud to share their stories in a series of short videos titled
Each video brings us back to the critical hours during and immediately after these events, when the energy industry answered calls for assistance. We hope these stories will both educate and inspire.
First in the series is the story of how Shell's Tracy Neathery and his team assisted the city of Deer Park, Texas to prevent the city's ponds from flooding and damaging nearby homes and businesses.
