However, until we have a contractor on board we will not be able to lock that in. Which underscores the need for a contractor to be selected ASAP. My understanding is the RFP is out and responses are due back today. JA From: Aurelia Skipwith [mailto:aurelia skipwith@ios.doi.gov] Sent: Wednesday, February 28, 2018 12:19 PM To: Anderson, John M. Subject: Re: Amount of Time to draft an DEIS Okay. We are still working on this before we send it to you. In the revised EIS, the Service assigned 100 days for development of draft EIS, while in the one we discussed on the phone this development was assigned 70 days. I'm about to have an internal discussion on this timeline, but want to know how long the contractor needs. If you could give an estimate in days, I would appreciate it. Thanks! Based on the schedule laid out in the NEPA contractor RFP, assuming the NOI is published around the end of March, the contractor should deliver a Preliminary Draft EIS to the Lacey Field Office in May, with a revised Draft EIS making it to DC for headquarters review in July. However, it is important to note that we have not seen the Service's schedule translated into actual dates, so there is a potential that the final dates could shift. Please let me know if you need anything further. John From: Skipwith, Aurelia [mailto:aurelia skipwith@ios.doi.gov] Sent: Tuesday, February 27, 2018 5:46 PM To: Anderson, John M.
