Kehoe Kettering Laboratory University of Cincinnati Cincinnati, Ohio Dear Dr. Kehoe: Recent press releases (St. Louis Post Dispatch, December 16, 1965, p. 11 F) on the symposium held last week on the effects of lead in the environment have quoted you as stating that a level of 8 micrograms of lead per liter of blood is the point above which lead poisoning may occur. It appears to me that you have been misquoted by a factor of 100. We, at least, have been assuming that the upper normal range of whole blood lead values is 0.06 - 0.07 mg per 100 g of blood. If possible, I would like to receive a copy or preprint of your presentation to the symposium. I would be glad to defray any costs there might be in this regard. I would also appreciate receiving any comments that you might have with regard to blood lead values, lead intoxication, Versenate therapy and its effect on blood lead determinations, etc. Thank you for your help.
