He would unquestionably net have been assigned to the fabrication shop or the pad shop where the materials used, or where a very high amount of cutting of the pipe severing, would indicate that a&eeto* fiber would V* in the air, In December of 1959 Allan Sveritt returned to esploysaut with Armstrong and worked for days on Contract 271-711 in whioh Armstrong was providing and installing Polyurethane sheet insulation for DuPont at their Anticch, California plant. Share would be no asbestos products used at all on the insulation used on this job and therefore no possibility for contact with asbestos. In the last part of Decker, 1959 and the first part of January, i960 Allen Sveritt worked part weeks en Csotraet 271-5^5 on which Armstrong was providing insulation for piping, duets sad vessels on the Bank of America stain building in downtown Sen Francisco, and providing identical insulations on piping, duets and vessels for the Department of Finance job, Contract 271-563 in San Francisco. Mr* Ira n A* Schwab -2 - Ju ly 6, 196h, On both jobs, the insulation was almost exclusively berglas pipe covering and duct wrap, with see amounts of "Fibrocel" pipe covering, a produot made frea expanded silica, and to the best of my knowledge not containing any asbestos* Being a short tax type of employee, we are confident that Mr. Everitt would have'been assigned to the application of berglas duct Insulation, which constituted a major part of both of these jobs, It being our practice to apply moat of the pipe covering with our pernanent type of employee and calling on additional manpower to do the easier type of work, which would include the wrapping of ducts with berglas blankets. berglas blankets or pipe covering would contain no asbestos at all being entirely glass fiber, and phenolic resin binders. Zt would therefore appear that during the 3 days that Mr. Sveritt was employed by Armstrong, that he would have worked only lk days on a job in which he could have any exposure to asbestos fibers, those being on the ship contracts* Z hope that this information will be sufficient for your requirements, we will certainly offer any additional help that you feel we may be able to give.
