This technical report includes a summary of environmental effects data on 3M's products and the components used in them. The data was taken from the literature and from previous studies by the 3M Environmental Laboratory. The data [for each component and each product have been evaluatedforcompleteness and accuracy and additional testing
requirements have been noted. Where sufficient data on the toxicity and degradabiliotfy individual components were available, the data were evaluated and recommendations regarding inclusion of the component in future products have

|Anattemptwas made to correlate the toxicity of FC-203 to the toxicity of its components by takinginto'consideration the component concentration in the product. While product toxicity could not be conclusively correlated to the toxicity and concentration of individualcomponents, major contributors to product toxicity are believed to be the filmer, the foamer,
butyl CarbitolTM, and DuponolTM ME (sodium laurylsulfate). Components likely to contribute less to product toxicity are
ethylene glycol, tolyttriazole, sodium octylsulfate, and Di-water. Further toxicity testing of components and product formulations should enable better correlation between component and product toxicities.
