A number of trials vere corried out vith vorloua combinations of formulation sod oil

concluded vith o snail head made sample which contained approximately twice the oil
preaently being applied to the Type A fiber. This appeared to improve the duet coo*,

l. Setterberg agreed to obtain additional oil noxxlea and prodnee similar
high oil samples on a production run by Friday, October 11, 1968. Fonfa agreed to
test the staples as soon as thay are received. Depending on the remits of the t*st

DETAILS OF THAU
The various test materials vere sprayed vet vith a Universal blowing machine supplied by Metropolitan Spray Inc. All testa were carried out vith SprayDon Type A Material.
1. tegular Type A (from normal production run) containing 2.21 oil - i.. extra oil so thst teat la Jnat within the Underwriters requirement for ash content. Semite very dusty.
2. Type A vith diatomaceous earth removed. Results - very dusty.
3. Type A vith 151 asbestos (caopsrsd vith 301 for regular Type A) and oil applied to asbestos and chemical* only at the poLnt where they enter rotery mixer. (301 aebestos could aot he used because screw Co mixer would not handle this amount of asbestos.) Results - dust level acceptable.
