Gorsuch.U) I first called George Hanks in our Washington office to determine who (in EPA) actually sent the information to CDC. He determined from a phone call to Kathleen Bennett (his contact at EPA), that: "in all likelihood it was either Steve Wassersug or Ray Cunningham of EPA's Philadelphia (Region 3) office."(z) After discussing this with you on August 4, we decided that perhaps it would be best if Dr. S. G. Austin tried to find out what the CDC plans were, rather than I (a stranger to CDC). Susan has made a valiant effort to do this, but has drawn a blank in all areas. The most logical peoplew) at CDC don't know what she is talking about, nor have they seen any relevant communication from EPAi She will continue to pursue this on a "low profile" basis. Perhaps a call to the EPA Region 3 office would uncover to whom at CDC (or even if) this information was sent. My question is - do we really want to pursue this more than what we've done already?
