Internal Correspondence Date: Subject: March 22, 1988 ASBESTOS MONITORING RESULTS/ARCO SAG RIVER From/Location: David Sucharski To/Location: Master/ARCO SAG RIVER Air samples were taken aboard ARCO SAG RIVER in the accommodations.and engineroom on 26 February 1988 to determine if dangerous exposures to asbestos were present; The results of tests on these samples show that there were no hazardous concentrations of asbestos fibers present in the air. Because the ARCO SAG RIVER has asbestos containing material, mainly bulkhead and ceiling panels and floor insulation, we shall monitor the ship in the future to ensure a safe environment.
