An aliquot o f 0.5 mL of the test substance was applied to each o f 4 membrane discs. The pH of the test substance was 4. The test substance broke through all 4 membrane discs. The mean breakthrough time was 15 minutes and 28 seconds. Under the conditions o f this assay, the test substance is a skin corrosive and is placed in Packing Group II, medium danger (DOT/IMDG). This information is submitted in accordance with current guidance issued by EPA indicating EPA's interpretation of Section 8(e) o f the Toxic Substances Control Act or, where it is not clear that reporting criteria have been met, it is submitted as a precautionary measure and because it is information in which EPA may have an interest.
