McPherson, Division Manager of Thayer1a Limited, at Chatham, Ontario, told me the following story about one of their truck drivers, operating cut of Blenheim, Ontario. About three months ago Mr. slipped on the run- ing board of his truck and skinned his shin, apparently he paid little attention to it at the time, but later it got quite sore and showed no tendency to heal up. The affected part ie now about three to four inches diameter in area and consists of red purplish sore spots, which look somwhat like blisters. ^ Mr. {f^H^consulted a Dr. Storie, of Blenheim, who diagnosed the trouble as ^ead poisining, told him to bathe it with salt water and gave him some saye to apply. Apparently one day when Dr. Storie was away Mr. consulted another Doctor in Blenheim, whose name Mr. McPherson could not recall, and he also diagnosed the trouble as lead poieining. There seems to be no improvement in the affected part and it is causing Mar. considerable pain and worry, and it is also becoming a problem for Thayerfs. I have not seen Mr. Qfk myself, or spoken to his Doctor, but this information was given to me verbally by Mr. McPherson.
