Please be advised that we are aware that your administrative controls and permanent en gineering controls will be in full use by February 11, 1974 and that these controls are within the dry mixing and packout areas to prevent employee exposure to asbestos dust. Your request for consultants to run tests acceptable to OSHA was also reviewed and to this end we are submitting a list of individuals and companies capable of performing asbestos dust sampling. However, the results would not be acceptable to determine OSHA compliance. To determine if the permanent engineering controls are effective, one of our OSHA Industrial Hygienists will resample the workplace. It is anticipated that this sampling will be conducted on Febru ary 11, 1974 or within seven working days after this date. Based on the OSHA sampling results, you will be informed if the perman ent engineering controls are adequate. Meanwhile, temporary administrative controls (PPE) are to be conducted pending the outcome of our sampling.
