Three procedures, Process Hazard Analysis, Safe Work Permit and Energy Control Program, were submitted for final review. Final revisions will be made by April 19 when they will be signed. The Safety Trainers will be trained the week of April 5 on Safe Work and Energy Control. These two procedures will be implemented on the #1 Parex turnaround. Debbie Horton updated the CSHC on work the Total Involvement Team has completed. Shifts in Excess of 16 consecutive hours - Guidelines established. Communications in Shower Room at Alky for Emergency Use Only Phone installed. Asbestos Exposure concerns in General Maintenance Shop - Samples Completed; Negative Results Posted. Traffic Through Mid Plant - Proposal to keep Gate #7 open in progress. Traffic congestion behind Main Shop area - Alternatives are being evaluated for cost/effectiveness. Temperature of fin fans (entry) - Turned over to Policies & Procedures Team. Pulling valves on flare line - Procedure for Direct Flare Entry is being drafted. Overhead valve at MSTDP - Work order written for permanent work platform. Machinists working alone after hours - In progress. Inspection of tools - Policy for Tool House to complete inspections is in progress. The CSHC also charged the Motivation team to work with the Total Involvement Team on establishing some positive feedback incentives for the Proactivity Safety Program.
