Dickson will spend up to one month at King City to "police" the RG-244 circuit in an effort to increase output and optimize product qualities. He will be under your supervision with regard to a 1 I plant operations and functions, including production, lab, maintenance, engineering, etc. He wilt receive guidance and do work for engineering, to be coordinated by 0. J. Malacarne or V. D. Holt. Prior to coming out Gordon will have discussed the plant circuit and related matters with R. E. Byrne, engineering, etc. Any suggested tests, changes, etc. will be cleared with you and results.will be reported to you. We have begun limiting sales and/or sales efforts to keep our RG-244 requirements within your current production levels. We have about 85 tons of outstanding export orders and our domestic warehouse inventory position is not good. The need, for increased production of highly profitable RG-244 is obvious. All concerned should be made aware of the situation and total cooperation encouraged. All personnel connected with and/or familiar with the RG-244 circuit should be urged to make suggestions for improvements. if Gordon's work requires additionaI assistance we can consider sending another man, perhaps a technician, for up to one week. . Although we have not discussed a specific time for a piant visit by J. E. Walsh, who has not seen your operation, we would like to schedule this for the week of August 27.
