The proposal requested by i;ICA to reproduce all input data on the output report was discussed. It was c greed that inasmuch as KICA requested the program they should fund it. The Association office will write KICA to this affect. communications committee report The Statement of Ineome and Expenditures, 1 January through 31 1977, was reviewed. ETI Press Conference - Cocktail Reception (4:00 p.n.) New York/Chicago - Timing - July 26 and July 28 - TIMA Member participants to be determined III. Advertising Campaign - Audience - Media Schedule IV. Childrens Hospital Case History - Specifying Engineer - Byline - Win Irwin - Building Design & Construction - Capsulated Version V. Student Design Project Each company v/ill review this project. VI. YII, Case History leads Financial Update - The 1978 Committee Budget will be fixed prior to 1 August 1977. VIII. Other Items Awaiting Release of Completion of Tasks by Other Committees. R.S.Hite reported on the in-situ testing program York Research Corp. is undertaking for ERDA. York and ERDA will be contacted to determine whether the program can be altered to reflect the industry's position cn this subject. / Thickness recommendations will be cent to ASHRAE for their consid eration in ASHRAE - 90. GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE REPORT S.K.Heard reported on the following: 1. NAVFAC GUIDE SPEC. TS-15181. Previous comments on this spec were reviewed for final issuance to NAVFAC. Revised comments v/ill be sent to NAVFAC t San Bruno, Calif, and Washington, D.C. Also to Committee members, 2. CORPS OF ENGINEERS GUIDE SPEC. CORPS OF ENGINEERS GUIDE SPEC. CE 301.06. L.H.Mills will meet with Shig Hiratsuka to determine TIMA action required to solve their problems with this spec. 3. N3SIR 75-795 This refers to tax credits for materials complying with Federal Specs. Federal Specs are needed for duct board and flexible ducts. TIMA Government Committee should recommend use of SMACNA Standards on these to E. Freeman, GSA. as the basis for Federal Specs. V/.E.Fitch reviewed the various codes as they define "nnnconbustible", toxicity, smoke developed, etc. The Technical Committee will write a position paper on the subject of "Combustibility". I The Government Committee will approach GSA with respect to their specifications as they relate to E-84 and ASTM 0 177 and C 518. W.McHale reviewed the 0-C letter of 25 March 1977 relating to requirements in Government specs., i.e. inspection, sampling, certification, with GSA and Kavy relating to the above.
