McPherson, Division Manager of Thayer1a Limited, at Chatham, Ontario, told me the following story about one of their truck drivers, jflUHHfc operating cut of Blenheim, Ontario. About three months ago Mr m slipped on the rim ing board of his truck and skinned his shin, apparently he paid little attention to it at the time, but later it got quite sore and showed no tendency to heal up. The affected part ie nowabout three to four inches diameter in area and consists of red purplish sore spots, which look somwhat like blisters. ^ Mr. 40^B^(con8ulted a Dr. Storie, of Blenheim, who diagnosed the trouble as 3^3ad poisining, told himto bathe it with salt water and gave him some saye to apply. Apparently one day when Dr. Storie was away Mr. consulted another Doctor in Blenheim, whose name Mr. McPherson could not recall, and he also diagnosed the trouble as lead poisining. There seems to be no improvement in the affected part and it is causing Mu*, considerable pain and worry, and it is also becoming a problem for Thayer1s. I have not seen Mr. myself, or spoken to hie Doctor, but this information was given to me verbally by Mr. McPherson. I will wait for advice before getting in touch either with Mr. Shaw or his Doctor.
