Dan:
OK, it may be helpful if the FAA was provided our Congressional response that answered a similar question about the Solberg product (see attachment, and in particular page E-3). You should also know that the Solberg 3% product that we just tested for the FAA was not able to meet the ICAO Class C rating (it is listed for Class B rating only).

John,
Marc Tonnacliff (FAA) is looking for our participation in a telcon at the end of April with some FAA and EPA folks (no Solberg or non-Govt). Topic of discussion basically centers around the email below. He would like NAVSEA/NRL participation as the subject matter experts for Mil-Spec AFFF. Do you have any availability the last 2 weeks of April to support? If so, give me a few dates that are good for you, and I'll finalize with Marc.
v/r, Dan

Daniel,
Hi, how are things going? Hope all is well with the weather. We had a meeting last week with the EPA and they were discussing Solberg's Floro-Free Foam. It seems as if Solberg won a grant from the EPA and brought to the attention of the EPA their environmentally safe Floro-Free Foam. So if it is environmentally friendly and it works why can't it be used? We also discussed the Navy Mil-Spec AFFF and its features. So they would like to see about having a meeting to discuss foam. So looking about two weeks out,

what is your schedule the week of March 23-27? I'm not sure where your office is, it you could make it to the FAAthat would be great, but we would also be setting up a telephone bridge for calling in. Maybe about an hour to 1 14 hours?
