The modifications carried out since oar October inspection have not improved the Kill atmosphere sufficiently to sure safe work enviroment
Points noted during our inspection t-
1. The existing dust hoods over the Nordberg screens are too small to ensure effective dust collection over the whole of each screen Some screena
do not have a hood over the discharge end
2. A considerable quantity of dust is created at every transfer point and
many of these points are not effectively sealed
3. More attention is needed on the control of belt loading because of the excessive amount of spillage This spillage constitutes a severe dust hazard as it falls and as it is being cleaned up
The temporary unit being used to treat tailings is e serious source of dust and it must be effectively sualed or its use discontinued
