Dear Dr. Llubea:
This will acknowledge your letter of October 25, 1967 concerning the evalua
tion of asbestos dust and heat exposures of our oployees la the Class Block and FOAMCLAS^-' manufacturing plants.
We have carefully reviewed the recoeuendatlona, together with the supporting data, and have the following cements:
1. We are taking isncdlate action to relieve the positive pressure In the Building Machine enclosure.
2. The pressure of the sodium silicate spraying apparatus has een ' checked and found satisfactory.
3. Lowering of the hood on Rusher 2 Building Machine will be con sidered If the steps takes in Item 1 prove unauccesaful.

4. We expect to complete the modification of the sawing area by
mid - *68.

5. The elr blhat from the convective heater has been directed away from the entrance to the acrap bln. "
6. A schedule has been estsbllshed with the Fenniylvanls-Department of Health to X-ray our employees every two years. This was the schedule recommended by the Department when they were here In
September.

exposure.
