Attached are the {papers vhicb Mr* Cure mentioned to you. What are our responsibilities under OSHA if asked by NIOSH or OSHA personnel about toxicity of vinyl chloride? This agree ment gives us an opportunity to go back to the European group end get their permission to reveal European information. It is theoretically possible that permission would not be granted* Actually* I think it would be.
On point B the last paragraph of page 1 of the August 16 letter from ICI, we made It clear that it would be necessary to talk with management personnel of die member companies and they have agreed to this.

Mr. Elliott's cable invited attendance by representatives of the companies participatingin the U.S. program "to dis cuss results to date (and) to help in formulating future European programme*
Through phone conversation with Dr. Torkelson as chairman of our steering group, named Vinyl Chloride Research Coordinators, I have learned he will attend, accompanied by Dr. Richard Kociba, Dow veterinary pathologist.
It is hoped others also will take advantage of this op
portunity. Please let me know just as soon as possible if you
so plan, and whether you would like rooms reserved for you.
