Entrainment losses
IN EVAPORATORS STILLS AND TOWERS WITH
Hi-eF Purifiers!
naiti intercept and return to the evaporator all carryover thereby preventing possibility of Ion of valuable products. In addition, by removing thii carryover and entrainment, a Hi*eP Purifier eliminate* frequent cleaning of vapor line*, condenser tubes and other equip* ment. Hi-eP Purifiera con no more than ordinary separators ... yet are guaranteed 99 9b efficient in entrainment removal! These carefully engineered purifiers remove ail carryover, solid particles and mist through carefully guided centrifugal action. Without moving pans or filters, Hi-eF Purifiers require no maintenance... never wear out. Let our engineering staff recommend the proper aolutioo to your currcot problem. Mail coupon.

Present Status of Supercharged Cooling.

Ventilation of modern turbo-genera-
tore is the culmination of a long chain
of developments extending over the past
fifty years. The earliest tmoll 4-pola
steam turbine-driven generators were
quite short and were easily cooled from
the ends. As ratings were increased and
generatora.grew longer, means had to
be devised to cool adequately the cen-'
ter. The multiple radial system Intr*
dueed in 1924 was a major step forward.
It brought the cool air into the stator
core at many points around the outer
diameter and provided for its escape
at Intermediate positions. Long rotors
were ventilated through trenches or too-
neb below the rotor coils in addition to
