As background, IPAC is a consortium of medical inhaler manufacturers and is comprised of AstraZeneca, Boehringer Ingelheim, Chiesi Farmaceutici, GSK, Kindeva, Organon, Cipla and Teva. IPAC has worked for many years on the issues relevant to the sustainability of medical inhalers (MDIs, DPIs, and SMIs). IPAC is a recognized NGO under the Montreal Protocol and I attended a side event in Bangkok last year during the Open Ended Working Group meeting where you presented. IPAC submitted a response to the ECHA consultation on PFAS. Copy attached for ease of reference. We understand that you focus on issues relevant to fluorinated gases and would welcome the opportunity to share some of the unique context relevant to MDIs and answer any questions you may have.
