SOURCE - Phillip Carey - 7RF-9 Floats (May be obtained from other sources when approved by the General Lab) SPECIFICATIONS GRIT -/ FINENESS Should be free from gritty particles. Test for grit is made by decantation with water, using a 25 gram sample and an 800 or a 1000c.c. beaker. Not less than 750 c. c. of water shall be ustd for the first washing, so that any grit present will settle freely and not be held in suspension. 0.1% fine grit permitted. U. S. If the asbestos is ununiform in screen test and water carrying capacity, it shall be blended by any suitable method. REMARKS * Tests on each carload of asbestos floats shall be compared with tests of original shipment from same supplier, which was found satisfactory. If any of the tests indicate doubt as to its suit* Ability for use in joint finisher, it shall be tested in a laboratory batch.
