Brown Aug 2 2018 (signed).pdf Importance: High Francis, Following the joint NPRM that was released earlier today by DOT and EPA, I wanted to transmit the joint auto association letter that I mentioned we would be sending to the President, as well as a related letter to Governor Brown in California. As I noted after yesterday's trade roundtable discussion, these letters are intended to reiterate the importance of maintaining One National Program via a negotiated agreement between the federal government and California. We know the true work now begins following the release of the NPRM and various proposals for public comment. I have also included senior DOT and EPA officials and staff on this email, similar to my outreach yesterday concerning our statement regarding the NPRM announcement. Please let us know if you have any questions.
