A.S.S.E. WESTCHESTER SECTION
JANUARY 1977
The next monthly meeting of the Westchester Section will be held on February 3rd, 1977 at 1:30 PM, at Improved Risk Mutuals, 15 North Broadway, White Plains, New York. We will have our customary informal luncheon prior to the meeting at Olliver's restaurant. Those persons interested in attending the luncheon please contact Don Duffin at: 914-946-3500 or Jim Avery at 914-472-4523. We will meet at Olliver's at 12:00 Noon.
cyCt. Our No-vemtr^r meeting, by all accounts, was a great success. Originally we scheduled a presentation on automatic sprinkler protection but due to the size of the turnout - 40 people - it was necessary to divide the meeting into two separate presentations; one on automatic sprinkler protection, as originally scheduled, and a second presentation on cooking protection. The presentations were made by Jack Rotherham (cooking protection), Ike Siskind and Don Duffin (automatic sprinkler protection). All three individuals are on the IRM Engineering Staff.
The interest and the enthusiasm noted at the meeting and after the meeting were gratifying to the Section Officers, the Committee Members and the IRM Engineering Staff members that participated.
It is the intent of the Activities Committee to provide activities that will be of current, general interest to the people concerned with safety. Our presentation planned for the February 3rd meeting will be on The Hazards of Asbestos. The presentations will be made by' Mr. Dahiru Mahta, who..Jfsr^assocT^^^ "Fund American'Yhsurance-Companies. Mr. Mahta is an industrial^ hygenist by profession and the presentation promises to be very interesting.
