C. 20009 (202) 483-6126 May 15, 1973 f.-ZD;technical task group on vinyl chloride research dzparu^T Subjects Schedule and Agenda for Meeting on Monday, May 21, 1973 Gentlemen: The management representatives of the sponsors of the Vinyl Chloride Monomer Research Program have decided that it is best to discuss the vinyl chloride monomer problem with NI0SH, on the basis of publicly available data, with out delaying until the release of presently restricted data. They have asked the Technical Task Group to prepare their recommendations for the technical content and format of such a presentation. Enclosed herewith is the outline that has been pre pared by Dow. No prejudgment is offered in their proposal, but it will serve as a convenient basis for discussion at the meeting called for this purpose. The Technical Task Group will meet at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 21 in MCA1s Conference Room (Room 404). If you or your alternate are unable to attend, we would appreciate your telephone report on your views before the time of the meeting. You are probably aware of the action of the Food and Drug Administration (as announced in the May 9 issue of the New York Times) suspending the approval of PVC bottles for packaging whisky. As of today (May 15), official notice of such action has not yet appeared in the Federal Register, so we have no firm information on the basis upon which this action has been taken.
