The tubes in question were to be supplied according to -specification description in accordance with our Drawing Ho. -11473. This drawing indicates under "Rotes" Item 4 that "4" On Ends to be polished and coated with non-corrosive grease." Since purchase was arranged on the basis of your complying in total with all specifications, we would appreciate your check in the above amount to reimburse us for our additional expenditure at your earliest convenience. At this tine, we discovered that the tube ends had not been prepared for installation, and it was necessary to have the contractor sand blast then at a cost of $771.67. We feel that some effort should be nade to determine now tnis additional cost balances against the savings nade by purchasing tnese tubes from Boiler lube Company of America.
