At the present time we are in terested in the uses of some of the lead compounds, p rin cip ally su lfate and peroxide. These m aterials would be procured from manufacturers as Diamond would not expect to produce them. I presume any hazards would be based on exposure to certain concentra tio n s of the toxic products. In our case the p o ssib ility of dust or dry m aterials would certain ly be reduced to a minimum in view of the fa c t th a t i f the processes are carried out as planned, they w ill a ll be ' wet processes". In th is connection I would lik e to ask i f you have any rep rin ts of your own work d ire c tly applicable to our problem. I f these are available I would be indebted to you fo r copies, but i f not, perhaps you would indicate where the references have been published. I t would be helpful also to know semething of the State laws governing the conditions of operation and use of such compounds. Naturally the problem of the re la tiv e to x ic ity of lead compounds brings back our many discussions regarding the to x ic ity of soluble and insoluble flu o rid es. This reminds me to request th a t you remember me to Mr. Largent. Two or three years ago he forwarded me a number of re p rin ts of his reviews, but I have not had the pleasure of hearing from him la te ly .
