J Indicates an estimated value. It is used when the data indicates the presence of a compound helow the stated reporting limit.
C This flag applies to GC pesticide results only- The "C" flag xndiea the presence of this compound-has been confirmed by GC/MS analysis. (This definition is still being reviewed and discussed).
B __ This flag is used when the analyte is found in the associated blank as weXl as the sample. This notation indicates possible blank contamination and suggests the data user evaluate these compounds and
their amounts carefully*

E -- This qualifier indicates that the value reported exceeds the linear calibration range for that compound. Therefore, the sample should e reanalyzed at an appropriate dilution. The "E" qualified amount is an estimated concentration, and the results of the dilution will be

Exceptions
s All field samples were re-extracted to investigate low spike recoveries in the original extractions. Smaller aliquots were used for the re-extractions to provide more insurance that surrogates would not be
diluted out.

Several samples were diluted to prevent FC-143 from exceeding the calibration range. Both the original and the re-extractiona are reported since the re work was performed beyond the extraction holding

FC--143 was not present in any of the laboratory blanks.
All samples were re--extracted and reanalyzed as a corrective action for poor spike recoveries observed in the original work.
C. Matrix Spike Results
AT t re--extracted samples met acceptable.QC limits.
Matrix spike results have been reported with this contract along with the laboratory control sample (blank spike) results. The analytical system was not in control for original extractions performed on 05/24/93. Spike recoveries were back to normal for the re-extractions performed on 06/01/93.

C. Matrix Spike Results
All re--extracted samples met acceptable .QC limits.
Matrix spike results have been reported with this contract along with the laboratory control sample (blank Bpike) results. The analytical system was not in control for original extractions performed on 05/24/93. Spike recoveries were back to normal for the re--extractions performed on 06/01/93.
