As a solution provider and starting point of almost all industrial value chains, we take a key role in making the ambitious transition process possible. And, no surprise, we do pay particular interest to the Green Deal's ambition to maintain and strengthen the competitiveness of the chemical industry and secure high-quality industry employment. On 8 February 2022 (12.00-14.00) will take place a digital conference, jointly organised by the Chemical Industry Association of Hessen, the regional IG BCE trade union and the Hessen Regional Representation to the EU. The event will discuss the topic: "Wieviel Chemie braucht der Green Deal?" More specifically, the discussion should look at the policies needed to support the transition of this key industry, also with regard to the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability (CSS). Please find attached a programme description and the names of the other speakers (most of them confirmed) We would like to invite you to contribute to this digital panel discussion. The event is being held in German language. The audience will be composed of trade union and company representatives, Brussels stakeholders, academia and civil society. Could you please let us know if you will be able to join us for this debate - or indicate a possible German speaker to take part on behalf of your Directorate-General? We remain at your disposal for any question you may have. Thank you very much for your reply.
