During the meeting, we were informed that a light raw material market has resulted in a short supply of gelatin. reducing' the choice of low ferro magnetic contamination lots.

In search of an alternate supplier of gelatin, samples of an "A" gelatin type; were submitted by liormel for quality control evaluation in Hurling!uii. A 2,000-lb shipment of 65IIG 50 cps Methoeel was found to contain a very high .Level of ferro magnetic contamination. As a result, a meeting has been called on 6/29/73 to discuss the quality prob lem with representatives from Dow. All attempts will be made 1:o return this material to the vendor.
c. Sod iur.i Lauryl Sulfate
A trial shipment of !!enJvoL POL-1-S'has been received in Burling ton. While the viscosity checked out high (300 cps, spec, wox. 275 cps), the other parumetcis tested were within specificatiou. An evaluation will, be performed as soon as possible.

A rail car shipment (OATX 50616) of this resin type showed poor
DIDP dry blend characteristics. 1'valuation of samples from the
rail car showed high .Levels of polymer fines. It- is suspected
that blending resin cross-contamination is the cause for the poor
dry blend behavior.
