(MCA Conference Room), 10:30 AM, Tuesday, November 14, 1972 Gentlemen: The proposed agreement for sharing of research data on vinyl chloride carcinogenesis between the European and American producers has been confirmed in a recent exchange of letters between R. I. Lindsell of ICI and Mr. George Best. Arrangements have been made for Dr. W. D. Harris of UNIROYAL to meet with the European representatives to discuss the preliminary findings of their study pertinent to the final definition of our test protocols. According to this agreement, the members of our task group, as listed on the attached sheet, are the onlv ones entitled to receive information about the European project. In turn, they should feel honor bound to make sure such information remains within their own companies unless and until formal permission has been granted for its release. This will preclude discussion of unreleased European data in other MCA forums, such as the meetings of the Oc cupational Health Committee. We anticipate that final confirmation of support by MCA companies will be completed soon. To expedite the procedures for getting final contracts, test protocols, etc. settled, the Task Group is asked to meet on Tuesday, November 14, in the MCA Conference Room, at 10:30 AM. Please note that our agreement with the European group precludes attendance by any other than the specified RSV 000031^ 2- - sponsor representatives. At that time we will receive Dr. Harris' report on his European conference, and determine the exposure levels to be employed in the MCAadministered program.
