On behalf of the American Australian Council, we would like to host you during your visit to Australia August 31 - September 8, 2017, and arrange meetings with US private sector companies. The objective is to provide you with inputs from US companies operating in Australia related to energy, environmental innovation, and deregulation.
US companies in the energy and environmental areas have been doing business in Australia for many years, and we believe that these companies can provide you with important insights into the Australian energy and environmental marketplace and the challenges and opportunities facing these companies.
The American Australian Council is a bipartisan, nonprofit 501(c)(3) foundation governed by a volunteer board of directors composed of former members of Congress; senior political appointees from both major political parties; top government relations and public policy leaders; and business enterprise entrepreneurs.
Our mission is to promote the special relationship between the United States and Australia. We work together with our members to enhance longstanding special channels of trust that deepens existing traditional bilateral communications and activities. In the past, we have hosted numerous senior Australian officials including the Minister for Energy and the Environment Josh Frydenberg.
We promote productive and timely bilateral exchanges among leaders in government, business, national security, technology, academic, media, and cultural arenas. Sharing viewpoints, policy positions and strategies elevates our mutual defense and security and promotes economic growth, trade and investment.
We are prepared to make arrangements for briefings from key US private sector company leaders and to work with other not-for-profit institutions if useful to furthering your core mission.
