A second benefit will be the energy conserved through the elimination of rain soaked insulation and replacement of insulation that has deteriorated with time from being exposed. The survey objective is locate and identify, for future maintenance repairs, the amount of exposed insulation in the North Complex. Each repair will be tabulated on Attachment III for cost analysis. The markings used for identification will indicate the type repair required. The color codes and suggested method for marking is given by Attachment I. Listed below is the repair criteria to be used: REPAIR "A" - This repair is for insulation weatherproofed with asphaltic felt that is worn, cracked or missing and no more than 30 of the insulation has been lost (see Attachment II). REPAIR "B" - This repair is for insulation weatherproofed with asphaltic felt that is worn, cracked or missing and insulation loss is greater than 30 but less than 120. REPAIR "C" - Replace all missing aluminum weatherproof covers where insulation is exposed. Also, repair loose aluminum covers by rebanding.
