World Water Day at State
On March 22, World Water Day, the U.S. Water Partnership will host the 2017 U.S. Water Partnership All Partners Meeting in the Department of State's George C. Marshall Conference Center. The meeting will be open to the press from 9a.m. to 10:10 a.m.
The U.S. Water Partnership is a 120-member public-private partnership that was launched in 2012 to unite and mobilize U.S. knowledge, expertise, and resources to improve water security. This event will bring together members of the Partnership to discuss water innovation, security, infrastructure finance, and equity and affordability.
Keynote speakers will include U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt and President and CEO of the National Geographic Society Gary E. Knell. Administrator Pruitt will speak about elevating America's water infrastructure as a national priority. Mr. Knell will announce National Geographic's first venture into the public policy space to convene nonpartisan, fact-based dialogues between National Geographic experts and important leaders in

Washington about water and other complex issues affecting the U.S. today.

The event is open to the press. Pre-set timefor cameras is 8:15 amfrom the 21st Street entrance. Final access timefor writers and stills is 8:45 amfrom the 21st Street entrance. The open press portion o f the day will conclude at 10:10 am. Due to another event in the building, press must enter at 21st Street to cover this event.
