I arrived at the Ruiz Distributing Company at 10:15 AM on January 14, 2026, for an unannounced inspection. I presented my credentials to Mr. Alejandro Cornejo and informed him that I was there to conduct an EPA inspection to determine compliance with the Federal Insecticide Fungicide Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). The scope of the inspection would be to review documents and any pesticide products for evaluation of the compliance with FIFRA (40 CFR Subpart 169.3 - Inspections). FACILITY DESCRIPTION Ruiz Distributing Company is based in Houston, Texas, and has been in existence for 40 years. Ruiz Distributing serves restaurants by providing them with disposables supplies and food. The company has 5 employees. Ruiz Distributing's annual revenue is approximately $380 thousand. Section II - OBSERVATIONS On January 14, 2026, I met with Mr. Alejandro Cornejo and discussed the company's business. At approximately 10:25 AM, I toured and inspected the Ruiz Distributing facility. During the investigation I viewed the Warehouse and Ice Machine Area. Photos were taken during the inspection. Section III - AREAS OF CONCERN I conducted a closing conference with Mr. Cornejo at 10:42 AM on January 14, 2026. There were no areas of concern found during the inspection.
