The concentrations of lead (from all sources) found generally in the air of American cities are low, 3. The amounts of lead to which the general population are exposed frpm all sources, including foods and beverages - are below hazardous limits. 1. During the past twenty-odd years, there has been little change, on the part of the "average," adult American, either in his intake and output of lead, or in the amounts of lead retained injhls body. Such slight change as has been observed has moved ^ j in the direction of a decrease in both intake and output, )5ut it) is not certain that this apparent trend is real in the sense of being a representation of a general situation. 01SC0
