Stripping of Asbestos Insulation In the recent past on a couple of occasions, asbestos has been stripped from equipment, while deviating from the procedure, and rules established for-handling this material. Strict adherence to these rules is essential. I know that you have done much in the past in the way of training and educating Owens-Corning people cn this subject, but, in light of the recent deviations some thing more is still needed. Please see that all of your people are well schooled on this subject. Some procedure should be established and 'followed to make certain that all new employees employed by you in the future will be knowledgable of this material and proper handling procedures involved. Attached is a copy of the established rules and practices for handling asbestos In our plant.
