SUBJECT Final NIOSH Report on Hairdryer Tests for Asbestos
CEPD has forwarded to us a copy of the letter from General Electric (GE) with their comments on the final NIOSH report on hairdryer tests for asbestos emission and Dr. Nicholson's analysis of the report. GE's comments were in response to notice provided them under section 6(b) of the CPSA, 15 U.S.C. 2057(b).
While not required by law, we believe that a copy of
(J G E 's letter should accompany any release of the NIOSH report
_under the Freedom of Information Act. In addition, before ""any further affirmative disclosures of the NIOSH report are
made, the comment of GE must be addressed in order to assure that the information we disseminate is accurate and fair in the circumstances.
