P.O* Box 277 Dayton, Ohio Sage 45401 Dear Dr, Sage: With reference to your letter of July 3, 197.3, we are aoatiauinf fco investigate the possibilities of using a liquid ffineh as Mlxtetv&i Spirits 66 to eliminate asteeat* dust problems at your plant. As 1 indicated in our earlier conversations, the use of such material is not particularly compatible with the volume production of asb3tos fiber. However, your suggestion of using the special bag with a valve for addition of a liquid opens a number of possible solutions. ?f will investigate the availability and suitability of using such a bag and report to you within the next @v weRks. In the interim, we are submitting four aample of asbes~ tos to you as potential replacements for the SD01 and 7R.33 which you are now using. The samples ares identified as 6DG2, 7S&Q2, 7RQS, and 7R02, We have attached typical comparative data for the Johns -Mai:v i11e and Carey fiber grade. iKs^pt -for color the 6D02 is an excellent mate for 6D91. lb the case of the 7R33, we can match the color with, a more efficient fiber such as ?R02.or we can. match, the physical properties with a grade such as 7E&, Although the 7Q2 is hot a pound for pound replacement for 7R33, changes in your formulas might easily allow it to be used. we thank you for your continued interest and look forward to being of further service to you. ours, James P. ais Product Manager Asbestos Fiber Sales JPR/sck Test (oz.) 1/2 4 10 Pan McNett (%) 14 35 100 200 Pan Color Penetration Index Loose Density Carey 6D01 D.A.P.
