Hannah Project Description: The project will transform key sections of Cleveland Memorial Shoreway (State Route 2) from a substandard limited access highway into a low-speed, pedestrian-friendly boulevard with at-grade signaled intersections, ADA compliant sidewalks, and a sustainable landscape treatment. In addition, the project will construct the first phase of enabling infrastructure to provide a dedicated access road for the Port of Cleveland. Project Status: Grant agreement has not been executed yet. DOT recently received the draft grant agreement from the project sponsor. The DOT team will begin its internal review process along with working with the project sponsor to take steps towards finalizing a grant agreement. The Project will address these barriers through the reconfiguration of a substandard freeway and the construction of a park-like pedestrian land bridge that will provide a safe and welcoming linkage to the waterfront and catalyze opportunities for new public amenities. Project Status: The project sponsor is awaiting a DOT welcome webinar and completion of a grant agreement. DOT is reviewing the grant agreement language and administrative logistics for administering the grants in relation to the recent executive orders. For context, the welcome webinar will provide direction on the grant agreements and next steps.
